Estes Park Elopement

GETTING READY + FIRST LOOK

Alejandra and Nathan had a relaxing and peaceful elopement day in Estes Park. They started by getting ready in their Denver airbnb and ended by Lake Estes walking the shore together. Since they opted for an August elopement date in Estes Park, I was worried about afternoon storms putting a damper on our party. But it turned out to be a beautiful, sunny afternoon.

I met Alejandra at their Airbnb in Denver while she was getting her hair and makeup done. Soon after, we headed up to Estes Park. We parked at the trailhead. After walking the trail a ways and taking in the wildlife, we saw Nathan talking to the officiant. His back was to us. This led to the most genuine first look I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. It was such a sweet moment between the two of them.

ELOPEMENT CEREMONY

After finding the perfect backdrop for their ceremony, the officiant got right into it. It was an emotional ceremony to say the least – in the best way! Alejandra and Nathan shared vows, rings, a few tears, laughs, and their first kiss amongst the stunning Colorado mountains.

PORTRAITS IN ESTES PARK

We had some time to explore the area. We took our time taking bride and groom portraits, capturing all of the angles of the landscape around us. The vibe the whole afternoon was so peaceful, like they knew they were making the right decision getting married in nature with just the two of them as witnesses. As the sun started going behind the mountains, we decided to hop in the car and run to the shore of Lake Estes. The light reflections glimmered off the water’s surface and Alejandra and Nathan took in their surroundings and reflected on their wedding day.
